Dino Hunters saves are server-side, tied to your Roblox account. There are no local save files to manage, which simplifies cross-device play but creates dependency on Roblox's cloud infrastructure. This FAQ answers the most common save file and account questions.

Save File Basics

Where is my Dino Hunters save data stored? On Roblox's cloud servers, tied to your Roblox account. There are no local files to back up or transfer. Your progress lives in Fishgig Game's database, indexed by your Roblox user ID.

Does progress sync across devices? Yes. Sign in to the same Roblox account on any device, and your dino team, coins, gems, weapon upgrades, and evolution levels all appear.

How often does the game save? Every 5 minutes, automatically. There is no manual save button. If the game crashes between saves, the last 1-3 minutes of progress can roll back.

What gets saved? Your dino team (captured, evolved, equipped), coin balance, gem balance, weapon upgrades, capture tool inventory, daily quest progress, daily login streak, and gamepass activation state.

What doesn't get saved? Server-specific data like your current biome, party membership, and active combat session. When you log out, you return to the main menu, not the middle of combat.

Can I export my save file? No. Dino Hunters does not offer save export. Your progress is locked to your Roblox account unless you contact Roblox Support for recovery.

Cross-Device Play

Can I switch from PC to Mobile mid-grind? Yes, but you'll lose your current session. Sign in on Mobile with the same Roblox account, and your long-term progress (dinos, coins, upgrades) is there. The current biome session does not migrate.

Does my gamepad work on PC? Yes. PC Roblox supports Xbox, PlayStation, and generic gamepads. Dino Hunters has built-in gamepad layouts for console-style play on PC.

Does my Mobile touch layout carry to PC? No. Touch layouts are device-specific. When you sign in on PC, you get the default keyboard + mouse layout.

Will my settings sync across devices? Most settings sync. Roblox-side settings (region, privacy, voice) sync via your account. In-game settings (audio volume, control sensitivity) reset to defaults on each device.

Roblox Account Binding

Is my Roblox account the same as my Dino Hunters account? Yes. Dino Hunters does not have a separate account system. Your Roblox login IS your Dino Hunters login.

Can I have multiple Dino Hunters accounts on one Roblox account? No. One Roblox account = one Dino Hunters save. Multi-accounting (smurf accounts) violates Roblox's ToS.

Can I link Dino Hunters to my Discord? Not directly. Dino Hunters does not support Discord account linking. The closest integration is the official Fishgig Game Roblox Community Group, which uses Roblox login.

What happens if I change my Roblox username? Nothing. Username changes are cosmetic; your user ID (which is the actual save key) stays the same. Progress is preserved.

What happens if I delete my Roblox account? All Roblox game progress, including Dino Hunters, is permanently deleted after 30 days. Roblox does not offer progress export before deletion.

Account Recovery

I lost access to my Roblox account. Can I recover my Dino Hunters progress? Yes, if you can recover the Roblox account. Roblox's account recovery process requires email or phone verification. Once recovered, your Dino Hunters save is intact because it lives in Fishgig Game's database, indexed by your user ID.

I lost access to my email. Can I still recover? Contact Roblox Support directly. Provide proof of ownership (transaction history, IP logs, etc.). Recovery can take 2-4 weeks.

My Roblox account was hacked. What happens to my Dino Hunters progress? If you recover the account, your progress is intact. Roblox's rollback system can restore hacked accounts to a previous state within 30 days. File a ticket immediately at roblox.com/support.

I bought VIP Pass on a hacked account. Can I get it back? Yes. Once you recover the account, your gamepasses are restored because they are tied to the user ID, not the email or username.

Can I merge two Roblox accounts? No. Roblox does not offer account merging. You cannot combine progress from two accounts into one.

Save Data and Updates

Does an update wipe my progress? No. Updates preserve all progress. New content (biomes, dinos, weapons) is added; existing data is unchanged.

Will I lose progress if Roblox has an outage? No. Outages prevent you from playing but don't affect saved data. When Roblox comes back online, your progress is intact.

Does Roblox data ever roll back? Rarely. Roblox's infrastructure occasionally rolls back 1-3 days of saves during data center incidents. Affected players are usually compensated with Robux or gamepass extensions.

Will my save transfer if Fishgig Game shuts down? No. If the game is removed from Roblox, all progress is lost. This is a fundamental limitation of cloud saves tied to a specific Roblox experience.

Can my kid play on my account? Yes, but Roblox recommends separate child accounts for safety. Playing on a parent's account exposes the child to adult features (chat, marketplace).

Can my family share gamepasses? No. Gamepasses are tied to the purchasing Roblox account. Each family member needs their own gamepass purchase.

Can I have a parent-managed sub-account? Roblox offers parental controls via the Account Restrictions setting. A parent can restrict chat, marketplace, and game joins without creating a separate account.

Backup and Migration

Is there a way to back up my progress? Not directly. Take screenshots of your dino team and coin balance as a personal record. If your account is lost, the screenshots help Roblox Support verify your prior state.

Can I move my progress to a new Roblox account? No. Progress is locked to the user ID. Creating a new account means starting from zero.

Will Private Server progress transfer to public servers? Yes. Private Server saves are the same as public server saves. Your dino team, coins, and upgrades persist across server types.

Account Security

How do I secure my Roblox account? Enable 2-Step Verification (2SV) via Settings → Security. Use a strong, unique password. Never share your password with anyone, including "Roblox staff" (a common scam).

Should I link my phone number? Yes. Phone-verified accounts have higher recovery priority if you lose access. Roblox does not share your number with other users.

What is phishing in Roblox? Fake websites or DMs that ask for your Roblox password. Roblox staff will NEVER ask for your password. Report phishing attempts via roblox.com/support.

Detailed Account Recovery Workflow

If you lose access to your Roblox account, the recovery workflow has several paths depending on what you have access to.

Path 1: Email Access

If you still have access to the email on the account:

Go to roblox.com/login.
Click "Forgot Password."
Enter your email.
Check inbox for reset link.
Reset password within 1 hour (link expires).
Log in and re-enable 2-Step Verification.

Dino Hunters save data is completely separate from other Roblox games. Your progress in Adopt Me, Brookhaven, or other Roblox games does not affect Dino Hunters.

Some Roblox games share a "Robux balance" but Dino Hunters coins/gems are not Robux. Robux and coins are different currencies.

Save Data Migration Between Devices

There is no migration tool because save data is on Roblox's cloud. To switch devices:

Sign out of Dino Hunters on the old device.
Sign in on the new device with the same Roblox account.
Your save loads automatically.

The transition is seamless. No export/import required.

Create a separate child account. Don't share your adult account.
